Marcos Gaming have already secured their spot their spot for Pokémon UNITE Asia Champions League Finals in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

“We were one of the first Indian organizations to recognize the potential of Pokemon UNITE in the country and invested into it,” said Rohit Jagasia, Founder of Revenant Esports. “After representing India last year in the World Championship, I am proud of our boys for qualifying for the Pokémon UNITE Asia Champions League LAN Final in Malaysia despite faltering in the group stage. We are super pumped to have been able to represent our country twice in the same title and we are highly committed to invest in Pokémon UNITE in the future as well.”

Revenant's Journey to the Finals

Revenant Esports had a slow start in the India Qualifier, losing three consecutive matches in the Group Stage and finishing last. However, the team made a remarkable comeback in the Playoffs, defeating Gods Reign, True Rippers, and S8UL Esports to advance to the Grand Final.

“We had a really rocky start to the India qualifier and lost some crucial matches to finish in last at the group stage,” said Jeet 'Swifty' Kundra, a Pokémon UNITE player for Revenant Esports. “Luckily, the tournament’s format allowed us to compete in the Playoffs as well. We returned to the drawing board, worked really hard, analyzed our mistakes, and have completed a dream comeback. It feels really great to become the Indian champions again and we look forward to representing the country in Kuala Lumpur.”

Dominating the Grand Final

In the Grand Final, Revenant Esports faced Marcos Esports, a formidable opponent. However, Revenant Esports continued its impressive form in the playoffs and won the best-of-three series 2-1 to become the champions of India.

“I am extremely proud of my team for making it to the Asia Champions League Finals,” said Shrey ‘Instinct’ Jaisingh, Captain of Revenant Esports. “We had a tough start in the group stage but we bounced back with a vengeance. The playoffs were not easy either, but we showed our true potential and were able to dominate in the Grand Final. I am confident that we will give our best and make India proud at the Asia Champions League Finals.”

Prize money for winners

Revenant Esports was awarded $5,000 for winning the India Qualifier, while Marcos Gaming received $2,500. S8UL Esports, who finished third, won $1,500.
