Tribe Gaming crowned as the champion of the Call of Duty Mobile World Championship 2022

Tribe Gaming defeated Luminosity Gaming 4-3 in the championship match to claim the title of Call of Duty Mobile World Champions. With a $1.7 million prize pool, the competition, which was held in Raleigh, North Carolina, was the largest Call of Duty Mobile esports event to date. In a dramatic encounter against Luminosity Gaming, who had previously gone unbeaten in the playoffs, Tribe Gaming won and claimed victory. The previous two championships of the Call of Duty Mobile World Championship were postponed due to the pandemic, therefore this was the first LAN event for the competition.

Tribe Gaming sought to add the Call of Duty Mobile World Championship 2022 to their resume of triumphs after taking first place in back-to-back competitions. They overcame Q9 in the Group Stage, but Wolves Esports defeated them in the opening playoff game. Tribe Gaming persisted in the Lower Bracket despite this loss, winning their next two matches against STMN and Omega. Then, in the lower bracket semifinal match against Wolves Esports, they triumphed with a score of 3-0, setting up their comeback and win in the championship game.

Then, INCO Gaming and Luminosity made it to the Upper Bracket Finals, where Luminosity won and progressed, while INCO Gaming lost and was dropped to the Lower Bracket Finals. They competed against Tribe Gaming, who had already defeated STMN and Omega, in the Lower Bracket Finals. The grand finals between Luminosity and Tribe Gaming, two North American teams, were a hotly contested game that had viewers on the tip of their seats.

Following their defeats in their opening matches during the group round, the Indian teams Vitality Gaming and GodLike Esports were both eliminated from the competition. GodLike finished in positions 13 to 16, earning $15,000, while Vitality ended in positions 9 to 12, earning $30,000.
