The BGMI server experienced a brief outage for maintenance purposes, lasting only five minutes. This caused speculation and anticipation among users that the BGMI developers were actively working on improving the game and introducing new features. The rumors of BGMI's return gained strength as a result of the maintenance break, suggesting that the developers are committed to enhancing the overall gaming experience for their players.

A few days ago, the BGMI server also went offline for a maintenance break that lasted 30 minutes. Previously, in July of a past year, the BGMI service was blocked in India by the government under the Information Technology Act of 2000. This action was taken after the popular game PUBG was banned in the country, leading to the launch of BGMI, a local version of the game, as an alternative for Indian players.

Krafton, the developer of BGMI, has recently created a new YouTube channel called "Krafton Player Support." This channel was established on September 29 and new videos have been uploaded to it, fueling speculation that the game is set to make a return. While the videos on the channel are not visible to the general public and are instead unlisted, they can be accessed in the support section of the BGMI website. The creation of this new YouTube channel and the upload of new videos suggest that Krafton is preparing for the return of BGMI, though no official announcement has been made at this time.

Will BGMI return to India?

There have been rumors circulating within the gaming community that either Jio or Airtel, or possibly even Jetsynthesis, may take on the role of publisher for BGMI and bring the game back. Some popular streamers and influencers have also hinted at a potential return of BGMI, but there has been no official announcement from the developers or the companies mentioned. Jio has already indicated an interest in entering the gaming sector, as demonstrated by the recent launch of their Cloud Gaming platform under Jio Games. Airtel has also taken similar initiatives in the gaming industry. It remains to be seen whether these rumors will come to fruition and whether BGMI will make a comeback with the support of a new publisher.
