Valorant, the popular first-person shooter game developed by Riot Games, has quickly established itself as a top player in the esports scene. The game's popularity has led to the creation of many dedicated esports circuits.

The VCT LOCK//IN 2023 is a one-of-a-kind event that will take place at the Ginásio do Ibirapuera in São Paulo, Brazil from February 13 to March 04, 2023. The tournament will feature all 30 franchised Valorant teams from the Pacific, EMEA, and Americas regions, along with 2 invited teams from China.

Format 

The format of the tournament is a single-elimination bracket with 32 teams, split into two groups (Alpha and Omega). The matches will be best-of-three until the semi-finals, and best-of-five for the semi-finals and Grand Finals. This format ensures that teams will have to bring their A-game right from the start, as a single loss could mean elimination from the tournament.

In Group Alpha, there are 8 teams from EMEA, 4 teams from the Americas, and 4 teams from the Pacific regions.

In Group Omega, there are 5 teams from EMEA, 5 teams from the Americas, and 6 teams from the Pacific region.

Schedule

The schedule for the VCT LOCK//IN 2023 tournament is set to be an exciting journey for fans and teams alike. The tournament will officially kick off on February 13, 2023, with a 32-team single-elimination bracket. The teams will be split into two groups, Alpha and Omega, and will compete in a series of matches to determine the top two teams from each group who will then advance to the playoffs stage. 
The playoffs stage is set to begin on March 2, 2023. During the group stage, Group Alpha will compete from February 13 - 19, and Group Omega will compete in a similar fashion from February 22 - 27, 2023.

The tournament will be streamed live on VCT's official channels on YouTube and Twitch, similar to previous VCT events.
